ical-ufr is a web interface to ADE, the timetable system of Université Paris Cité. Teaching staff have no direct access to ADE even though it is the authoritative source for when and where classes happen; until this project, schedules circulated as PDFs exported by the secretaries and scattered across university websites, with last-minute changes never reflected in the exports. ical-ufr queries the ADE API directly and renders the timetables of the mathematics Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in a form students and staff can actually read, with calendar subscriptions for individual courses and groups.
The project was launched by Yves Capdeboscq and is managed by Pascal Molin; Frédéric Han wrote the Python backend, and I am responsible for the React front-end.
See my blog post about the project for the background story and screenshots.
